I see it as a sickness in this country. Devoted to a party NO MATTER WHAT gives license to them to cheat, lie, steal and fail at their jobs because they have no doubt in their faithful followers.
I refuse to stay devoted to any political entity if their promises are not reflected in their actions. I am devoted only to an ideal and would vote for any person or any party dependent upon whether or not they stand for those ideals and set an example in their attempts.
Stop with the party loyalty Bermuda, and show everyone that is in power that they are at the mercy of your vote, which should not be chosen without consideration.

Waste / Recycle / Reuse / Compost - How Can We Better Deal With Our Wasteful Habits?
It wasn't long ago that most Bermudians didn't recycle at all. Not to say that the numbers have greatly improved but at least with the addition of the green pages and the phone book's blue page recycling section, Bermudians are becoming more aware of our wasteful tendencies and how to properly dispose of items. Still, there is only so much a citizen can do that doesn't require a boycott of most items, especially since Bermuda only recycles Aluminum, Tin and Glass.
Affordable / Sustainable Housing
Bermuda certainly has a standard of living that is above most other countries let alone other islands. It's amazing that a 21 square mile island can literally be draped in white roofs everywhere and cram in 65,000 people. The building code currently stipulates that nothing must rise above the steeple in Hamilton and some 3 storey homes are denied permission even though they are in valleys because they don't want the island to appear cluttered with more white roofs over green space. Obviously though, that has already happened. White roofs equally, if not more visible than green space. Stopping people from building an extra storey is ridiculous considering the surroundings and ever growing limited space. Stopping skyscrapers, I can agree with, but the building code desperately needs to be re-evaluated.
Water Conservation
If your Bermudian, you've seen him. Mr. Drippy is Bermuda's #1 in Conservation. Many seem to think that because we catch our own water there's no need to conserve it and in the winter months it certainly seems like we could stand to waste some. But! Conserving water will save on not only your water bill but your power bill to.

First Things First
I am the creator of the attempted project - The Bermuda Green Party.
I had hoped from help from several other Bermudians who claimed interest but in the end, it became a personal project that I could not handle.
I know the criticism I will receive for my attempt and I accept that entirely as I was young, naive and was desperate to make a change in my island home. Even then I admitted we had no governmental experience, it being a grass roots movement, though I do hope for a Bermuda Green Part one day.
My ideas however, I stand by fully and since being locked out of my account that controlled the Change Bermuda blog, I will be reposting everything and finishing my other planned points in time.
I am just a young Bermudian that will stop at nothing to see justice brought to my country. I am tired of the illogical thinking, consistent reaction instead of prevention and the monetary benefits accepted by our government. One day, far from now, I do hope to run in election, without the acceptance of those monetary benefits. One should be in politics to make a change, create a better world for our children and do it not for their own benefit but the benefit of the country as a whole.
For now though, I will post my thoughts and ideas in hope to inspire change in the way we run our country because I truly believe that Bermuda has the opportunity, unlike any where else in the world, to be an ideal society. Call me an ideal realist. I believe idealism can be reached to a certain extent, with the implementation of realistic ideas.
